Fiat Dino 2.4 Coupe SOLD (1971)
This is an unusual show winning Coupe that has both a factory fitted Golde sunroof and working air-conditioning.
The car was imported from Switzerland in the 1990s after which it was taken back to bare metal and fully restored over a period extending to 2006. After this process the interior was re-trimmed in leather.
With the car is a file of historically interesting letters including some between Mike Morris and various owners about the car and its history including its purchase by Swiss based collector Ed Stevens from Peter Seller's son Mike in the late 1980s together with a set of photos of the work done and invoices for all the work carried out.
The engine and gearbox were fully rebuilt by Ron and Mike Elliot at Superformance in 1998. The car has only done a few thousand km since.
Since the major work was completed the car has been in dehumidified storage and only driven occasionally.
This Dino has just had a full service by Alex Jupe Motorsport and now has a new stainless exhaust system and a new set of period Pirelli Cinturato tyres. At this time the original factory air-conditioning system was brought up to date with a new compressor, condenser and hoses etc.
This is a low mileage car (64k km) in fabulous driving condition.
