1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint
Engine: AR 00102
UK registered and MOT'd May 2018 - no advisories
In very rare Tornado Blue colour (only 40 cars were produced in this colour according to Alfa records)
According to Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo this fully matching numbers Giulietta Normale was produced in Milano in October 1960 and delivered new to Switzerland where it was registered in February 1961. It then found a new owner who took it to Sicily where it spent the rest of it's life until imported to UK.
Complete nut and bolt restoration in 2012 to concourse standard and original specification and has done 25.000km since, paint included chassis in body colour.
Having owned several Giuliettas I can honestly say this one has the best body I have ever seen, all the usual issues seem to have avoided this unmolested car and there isn't a single welding patch on the bodywork.
All mechanical parts and suspension have been fully overhauled with parts renewed as necessary. Engine is beautifully smooth, good oil pressure, whisper quiet and delivers surprising power for an original 1300
Gearbox is precise, smooth and without any issues. Full suspension rebuild and set up means that it drives like an Alfa should.
All new interior in correct original materials compliments the rest of the car.
Some of the other essential work done: Original brightwork re-chromed, New Firestone tyres, brakes rebuilt, stop like they should and do not grab, fuel tank restored, new exhaust, all new fuel and brake lines,
rebuilt original radiator etc.
Most recent work:
Detailed Engine bay,
Electrical tidy up,
New solenoid and starter motor,
Rear pinion oil seal,
New track rod ends
Complete new clutch assembly inc release bearing.
Rebuilt carb and set-up
The car has been driven regularly in UK and all the niggles sorted out. I would confidently take it anywhere.
