an Aston Martin, but some would say better and definitely faster when the 7.2 liter Chrysler big block V8 engine guns this big grand tourer forward with impressive momentum. The lucky occupants in the quiet, luxurious interior may not feel the drama, but when the pedal is floored on the motorway even the faster cars in modern day traffic struggles to keep up with this brute brit.
The Interceptor SP was the most powerful car ever built by Jensen Motors and among the fastest cars in world when new. The 440 cui V8 SP (Six Pack) engined Dodge Charger and Challenger was only available in the Mopar catalogue for about a year and already illegal when the Jensen SP was presented to market in 1971. The power was 385 HP (SAE) and Jensen had bought the remaining stock of engines from Chrysler.
This rare RHD Interceptor III SP comes from a well known Danish collector and is fastidious maintained by his mechanic who looks after the collection. It has been regularly driven and everything on this car is sorted out and functioning. The impressive car is finished in royal blue with magnolia vinyl roof. The interior in walnut veneer, leather and thick carpets takes one back to a pleasant upper class life in the late sixties. A magnificent Interceptor for the discerning Jensen enthusiast.
