Triumph Explorer XC 1200 - Limited Edition - Rare For Sale (2015)

Description
This rare bike was purchased new by me in May 2015 from Triumphworld at Chesterfield. There were only 50 ever made !! A rare machine in mint condition, possibly a future classic.
It is in exceptional condition having always been washed & polished after use and kept indoors. It has had an easy life and it looks like a bike only a few months old.
It has only been used for a couple of long tours one up with light luggage.
It has never missed a beat and returns 56 mpg.
It has never been used off road – for commuting – or in the winter.

In 2015 Triumph produced just 50 Globebuster Limited Edition 1200 Explorers to mark their association with travel tour company Globebusters.
They took the ( then ) top of the range XC model and added to it. 25 were painted matt black and 25 were painted matt blazing orange…this is an orange one.
Only 25 orange bikes were ever built world-wide !

The colour looks fabulous and attracts very positive comments.
The XC is already a very high spec bike, but as well as the special paintwork, Triumph powder coated about 20 parts in black to create a subtle difference to the standard bikes where all the powder coating was originally silver.
Here is the specification.
1215 cc triple – 137 bhp.
Painted in Matt Orange with extensive black powder coat.
ABS – TC – electronic throttle – cruise control.
Driver info - Heated grips – heated riders seat – LED fog lights.
Touring larger adjustable windscreen – CNC machined rider foot pegs – Triumph key coded Panniers – Sat nav mount.
Headlight protector – stainless radiator guard – engine bars – alloy sump guard.
Hand guards – main stand – LED rear light – Saxess spoked wheels with tubeless Metzeler tyres – Kayaba USD forks with Kayaba mono shock - 12v socket – span adjustable levers – adjustable suspension.
The tyres are in very good condition and there is hardly any wear on the disc pads. It has covered just over 4000 easy miles and doesn’t need a service for another 6000 miles.
The bike is kept indoors so can be viewed in good light at any time and in any weather.
The engine pulls very strongly and is great for touring with a very wide spread of power. It is very comfortable and easy to ride; the suspension and brakes are great and it handles very well. The large screen provides additional weather protection and the heated seat & grips are welcome in the cold. The 10,000 mile service interval makes life easy and cheap….and there have been no recalls on this bike. I have all the original documents & keys – the bike was data tagged from new.
Only a small number of dealers were offered these 50 bikes and they were all sold in a few days. Triumph world have offered to buy it back! I cannot find one for sale anywhere in the world and I have never seen another one on the road in over two years.
The Part Exchange valuation is not too bad so no crazy offers. Mainly I am running out of room.
I think it represents great value considering the condition and the rarity of this bike. PX values are usually much less than the true value so I am offering this at around the PX value for a quick sale.

The bike is in Nottingham…..feel free to come and crawl all over it and under it. No pressure but you will get a cuppa & a warm welcome.
