Broke Doran was a privateer and no offence to him say that he was an amateur racing driver, some time his race time was 10 seconds faster that his qualifying time.

This McLaren was a winner race car but need to be in the right hands to perform at his best.
In 1966 Mid Ohio USRRC, the car was raced by Doren and Carl Hass, the McLaren USA agent.
In 1967, the car was raced with good success for the amateur driver.

In 1976, car sold to Steve Dawson from Indiana. See document
In 1978, car sold yo the famous Chuck Haines, the Can Am specialist. See document
In 1981, Chuck Haines sold it to U. K. very well known historic racer Alex Seldon
Sold directly to John Foulston, the computer magnate, who send to it Lanzante for a complete race ready restoration.
1982, Lanzante upgrade the body to the latest M1C body and vented discs.

1982, sold to Ray Bellm, and prepare by Roger Andreason.

1983, raced one race and a third place.
At the end of the year, Brindley in à complicates deal took back with him his winner McLaren 30-06.
Brindley then raised it to victory at Donington and Silverstone. See document
1984, again Brindley took 4 class wins, three seconds, one third and one fourth and again a championship victory. See document
1985, car wash for sale in the magazine Autosport and sold to Wolfgang Momberger. Raced in the Supersport events at the Nurburgring. See document

1986, advertise in Autosport magazine and sold to Richard Weiland and raced in various SuperSport events in Europe. See document.

1996, for sale by Hall and Fowler in UK.
2001, car was owned by Tom Commander and raced in SuperSport série again. See document.
2002, for sale in Autosport magazine and bought by Richard Dodkins who raced it in SuperSport série and European Group 4 championship. See document
Late 2003, the car was invited in the Goodwood festival and car was restored to original specs.
2004, the car was shipped to South Africa and raced by Glenn Price in the série organised by David Piper.

After the car was a winner again in the hands of Price in SuperSport series.
September, back to Goodwood and a fantastic fourth overall in a chaotic race. See document

2005, again Goodwood has driven by Nick Whale 2006, again Goodwood has driven by Whale with a fantastic second place with a 0, 314 second margin with the first place! See document

2007, restored and again Goodwood with again a second place behind Ray Bellm and with a 1 second margin on the final lap. See document
