1982 Chevrolet McLaren Group C For Sale

Built on a M8F monocoque in the early 80s by a privateer with experience in race car building since the late 60s, specifically McLaren Can-Am since 1975.


One of a kind, there IS no other McLaren Group-C. The owner, builder, driver had scored the most world championship points with his Mclaren(s) worldwide, until the Coulthard/ Hakkinen show in F1.

Body: Lotec (Lotterschmidt)
Chassis: McLaren M8F (yes, there was a very small entity building spare aluminium monocoque chassis in Germany)
Motor: Your choice, but preferably a Chevy all-aluminium 496cui
Transmission: Hewland

If you have the balls to drive 400+ km/ h, this is the car do to so. Owner has already another street legal Group-C on the road.

Power to weight ratio: 1kg (or less) per hp!

POA (not insanely expensive considering its rarity, let's talk)

The car is in pieces but if you visit you get a sense of the capability of the workshop. In spring you could be on the road!
