1952 TRIUMPH TIGER T100
RIGID SPRUNG HUB
A long-term stalled project with lost enthusiasm, lots of money spent, including rebuilt engine, gearbox, rebuilt forks, magneto, dynamo, etc, many parts re-chromed/plated (only one of the Dunlop wheel rims has been re-chromed to date).
The bulk of the restoration has been completed, however, all tin ware requires painting, i.e. fuel/oil tanks, mudguards, Vokes filter unit, mudguard stays, headlamp nacelle, rear stand, number plates, seat base, chain guard, in addition, the rear hub also requires paint and rebuilding (all rear hub parts are present)
Parts missing include seat foam/cover, wheel spokes, tyres/tubes, control cables, and headlight switch.
Unfortunately, the old log book has not come to light, however, the rear number plate clearly shows the original 'Newcastle' registration number and with the help of the Triumph owners club the number could be retained, if not an age-related number will be issued.
