This MG Midget Mkll was subject to a total restoration between 1990 and 1993 with the history file containing a series of photographs showing the work being carried out and invoices for the parts purchased.
In 2003 it was acquired by a very wealthy young man who parked it in his large dry garage and never used it.
We believe that at that time he was intent on gathering a collection of classic MGs as two other MGs were stored alongside the Midget.
We bought all three cars as the gentleman emigated to the USA some years ago and his UK house and storage are now being sold.
As this Midget had been stood for over 14 years, we had to do some work to get it up and running. It has had a new battery, a complete new clutch, new clutch slave cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders and a fuel pump.
The history file contains the original green log book and a number of V5s showing the total ownership history, the current V5, the current MOT certificate which expires in April 2018, numerous expired MOT certificates dating back to 1976 and the more recent invoices for work and parts.
New rules that commenced in October 2014 mean that the car will be licensed for twelve months from the date of sale for the new owner at no cost as the car qualifies for the Historic Taxation class.
This car is being offered at an attractive price that leaves room for further recommissioning that may become apparent with use or improvement if the new owner wishes.
Prospective buyers are welcome to come and see it in our Leeds showroom.
