1957 Morris Minor 1000 Four Door Saloon SOLD

The Morris Minor is the quintessential British classic car and this example of a 1957 four door saloon is one of the best examples we have had the privilege to sell.

It was bought by its last owner in 2010 who since then has spent over £5000 on parts to upgrade the car and bring it up to the superb condition we see today.

Most of the parts were bought from Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre and include a full 1098cc unleaded engine at a cost of £864, a reconditioned ribbed case gearbox at £582, a new 4. 22 differential assembly at £462, a new full clutch, a new genuine SU fuel pump, new coil, a new heater matrix, new brake cylinders, a new master cylinder, new brake drums, new trunnions, new shock absorbers, new shackle pins, new suspension bushes and washers, new rear springs, new wheel bearings and dozens of smaller parts, nuts, bolts, washers, plates, switches, hoses, seals, brake pipes, cables, valves and gaskets etc.

He also fitted a set of later Minor seats with matching door liners, new parcel tray and new carpets.

The history file contains the current V5, the full DVLA ownership history, some expired MOT certificates and dozens invoices for the £5000 of parts purchased.

Although the car is now MOT exempt as it was manufactured prior to 1960, it has an MOT which runs until April 2018 and it will be licensed for 12 months at no cost from the date of sale as it qualifies for the Historic Taxation class.

If you want own and drive an inflation proof car that brings a smile to you and all who see her then this is an ideal first classic car. Historic Road Tax is free and spare parts are readily available from the numerous Morris Minor specialists that can be found throughout the country.

The buyer will be happy to be seen in this car at any of the classic car rallies that are held throughout the year.

Prospective buyers are welcome to come and view the car in our Leeds showroom.

Wow! That's expensive! Or is it? I have owned this car since 2016.
