BRISTOL405 matching numbers,white/red leather trim For Sale (1957)

The Bristol 405 was launched at the 1954 Paris Motor Show and attracted
so much attention that when it was displayed at Earls Court later that year
there was already a full order book and a waiting list. Bill Body, the well
respected past editor of Motor Sport summed up the car after a test drive
as follows:-
"The general impression of the Bristol 405 as we forged along the A1 was
that it was a tireless car in which to drive fast over long distances, the
passengers being able to relax in great comfort and luxury while the driver
enjoys himself with the excellent controls and the sense of exceptional
security provided by the good road holding, steering and brakes." With
praise like that no wonder people regard the 405 as the 'real' Bristol.

This Bristol 405 has been very carefully looked after both by the previous
owner, who acquired it in 1979, and myself. Over the years everything
which needed doing was done at the right time, there are two box files full
of the records. Some examples are:- complete electrical rewire, bare metal respray and engine/transmission rebuild. The car is in very good order and it should be immediately obvious to a new owner that he is
driving a car of quality, hand built by skilled craftsmen. It should also
provide him with many miles of pleasurable, trouble free motoring.
