NORTON WD16H 1943 .SOLD. .SOLD. SOLD
The NORTON has been SOLD.
From frame and engine numbers the bike is a 1943 WD16H. I bought the Norton approx. 40 years ago from a motorbike enthusiast that I worked with, he had stripped the bike and primed the frame parts then left for a job overseas. It was stored in my garage for approx. 35 years then when I retired I finally decided to rebuild the Norton. My initial plan was to rebuild the bike and have engine running, I have done this and have also partially rewired the bike so that lights and horn work from the battery.
The Norton would require further work to be ready for the road, main requirements are a dynamo overhaul and a voltage regulator. I had no intention of putting the bike on the road as it is a bit heavy for someone my age.
There are no registration documents but a year related number should be available through the Norton Owners Club.
The bike starts ok and I have selected the 4 gears with bike running on the stand.
Norton will only be sold within UK and will need to be collected by new owner. Would require a bank transfer before collection. The Norton is sold as seen,if you have any questions or would like to see the Norton please call or e mail me and please no time wasters.
