MGC Roadster, 1969, chrome wires & boot rack. For Sale

MGC Roadster 1969, 3 litre, chrome wire wheels and boot rack, beautiful linen leather interior. The photographs are a true representation of just how beautiful this car is, only selling so as to finance restoration work on an E-Type! The original MGR RV8! Designed to take over from the Austin Healey 3000’s. Compare prices with these models and it can only indicate the hidden value of this car. Immaculate presentation of the entire car, fastidiously kept, the paintwork, interior, engine bay and all mechanicals! M. O. T. d until 19th January 2019. Being sold to help finance restoration work of my E-Type V12. The MGC used a new seven-main-bearing development of the Morris Engines designed C-Series that was also to be used for the new Austin 3-litre four-door saloon. In the twin SU carburettor form used in the MGC the engine produced 145 bhp at 5, 250 rpm. The body shell needed considerable revisions around the engine bay and to the floor pan, but externally the only differences were a distinctive bonnet bulge to accommodate the relocated radiator and a teardrop for carburettor clearance. It had different brakes from the MGB, a lower geared rack and pinion and special torsion bar suspension with telescopic dampers. Like all models of Classic British sports car, the Roadster always commands better prices than the Fixed Head Coupe. The car was capable of 120 mph and a 0–60 mph time of 10. 0 seconds. A car of Royalty, in 1967 Prince Charles took delivery of an MGC GT (SGY 766F), which he passed down to Prince William 30 years later. No test-drives in adverse weather conditions, the car is immaculate and whilst I own it, it will be kept that way in my dehumidified garage. Please call for full details of why this car is being sold, the details below, Geoff near Horncastle, Lincolnshire.
